On October 28, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the official inauguration of the barley malt processing facility of “Promalt” LLC in Imishli.

With an investment value of 33.2 million manats, the project is implemented in partnership with the Azerbaijan Business Development Fund under the Ministry of Economy, Azersheker LLC, and Azersun Holding LLC, creating 47 new jobs and promoting industrial growth in the region.

During the event, Managing Director of Carlsberg Azerbaijan Alius Antulis, addressed the President and distinguished guests, conveying warm greetings on behalf of the Carlsberg Group and expressing gratitude for the Government’s continued support to responsible business. In his speech, Alius Antulis highlighted Carlsberg Azerbaijan’s progress in using 100% locally grown barley for brewing and our readiness to transition to locally produced malt for the full production cycle.

This development not only enhances the quality and competitiveness of Azerbaijani beer but also supports company's vision of “Brewing for a Better Today and Tomorrow.”
